Application
Technical sulphur is a multi-industry industrial feedstock:
- Sulphuric acid production — Kel Chemicals (Thika) is the principal Kenyan H₂SO₄ producer; sulphur feedstock is the dominant input
- Fertilizer-S input — for SSP, ammonium sulphate and S-bearing NPK formulations
- Mining and metallurgy — for ore-leaching in copper and gold operations (relevant for Tanzanian and Zambian re-export through Mombasa)
- Rubber industry — vulcanisation
- Specialty chemicals — pharmaceuticals, dyes, agrochemicals
The granular form (2–6 mm) is preferred over prilled or formed for handling-economics in industrial processing.
Compliance
- KEBS Certificate of Conformity at load port
- NEMA environmental compliance for sulphur storage
- Certificate of Origin
- COA, Weight Certificate
- Marine Insurance with chemical-cargo coverage
- EAC CET: HS 2503.00.00. Duty 0%. VAT classification per industrial-feedstock end-use
