What the buyer specifies
- Required ammonia concentration and applicable standard
- Declared, agreed and legally permissible industrial end use
- Impurity and quality limits
- Quantity, ISO tank or other compliant containment
- Destination facility and safe unloading capability
- Shipment window, delivery rule, inspection and payment structure
A concentration around 25% may be used as an enquiry reference where appropriate. The live offer and final contract set the binding concentration, container and safety requirements.
Origin, safety and delivery planning
Aqueous ammonia is corrosive and releases hazardous vapour. The buyer must have an authorised receiving facility, compatible tanks, ventilation, emergency controls, trained handlers and all required permits.
Suitable origins are assessed against the buyer’s specification, quantity, shipment window, destination and landed economics. The live offer identifies the proposed producer or seller, country of origin, load point, quantity and route.
Each proposed transaction is reviewed using the actual origin, counterparties, banks, vessel or carrier, route and destination.
The parties select the appropriate Incoterms® 2020 rule only after confirming the transport mode and exact named port or place.
Inspection and destination requirements
Documents may include a certificate of analysis, safety data sheet, certificate of origin, tank or container records, dangerous-goods documentation, independent inspection and transport documents.
Product, import, inspection, customs and documentation requirements are confirmed for the actual destination, importer and declared end use.
