Application
Calcium nitrate combines nitrate-N with calcium — a highly soluble, plant-available form of both nutrients.
- Greenhouse vegetables — tomato, capsicum, cucumber (calcium critical for cell-wall structure; nitrate-N for foliage)
- Fertigation — high solubility, no precipitation in drip lines
- Blossom-end-rot prevention — tomato production
- Calcium-deficient soil correction
- Specialty horticulture export crops
For Kenyan flower and vegetable export operations (Naivasha, Mt Kenya, Thika, Murang'a), CN is a standard greenhouse fertigation input.
