Application

MAP is the high-phosphate planting fertilizer with lower nitrogen density than DAP. Where DAP delivers N 18% / P 46%, MAP delivers a higher P₂O₅ ratio (52%) at lower N (10–11%) — suited to:

  • Phosphate-deficient soil correction at planting
  • Compound NPK blending as a high-P feedstock
  • Specialty horticulture where P is the limiting nutrient
  • Starter fertilizer in cold-soil planting (less common in Kenya than in temperate cereal zones)

Variants

The MAP 12:61 specification (high-spec, water-soluble) is a separate line preferred for fertigation and high-value horticulture. See dedicated MPK / MAP 12:61 product page.

Compliance

Buyer-side FAFB registration (Cap 345); KEBS CoC; CO; COA; weight cert. EAC CET HS 3105.40.00 — 0%. VAT exempt under Finance Act 2025.
